NICE menopause guidance recommends a formal review at approximately 3 months after starting HRT/menopause treatments and an annual check up. Following an Initial consultation, invitations for these reviews will be sent, however if you would like a follow up appointment with Kathie for any reason, follow up reviews for existing clients are always available.
Private prescriptions £30
Most HRT is available within the NHS. Some clients choose to start their prescription privately – it’s usually quicker than waiting for an NHS prescription to be organised, but clients are not obliged to take a private prescription if they would prefer not to.
Medications prescribed privately can cost varying amounts at different chemists. An agreement has been made with an online pharmacy to ensure competitive pricing and a quick convenient delivery service: The Independent Pharmacy is a leading UK online pharmacy, run by an experienced team of healthcare professionals. Recently there has been national disruption to HRT supplies – likely due to Brexit – The Independent Pharmacy hold a good range of products, and can advise about suitable alternatives if your particular prescription is unavailable.
Costs for a month's supply of HRT will vary depending on the type of medication prescribed, but is generally around £14 per item. In addition, a prescription is a legal document a fee of £30 will be charged for each prescription, regardless of the number of items on the prescription. I do not receive commission from any prescriptions I write.

**Due to extensive NHS waiting times some clients have found it difficult to access a GP appointment for ongoing menopause support. So, a telephone review approximately 6 weeks after initial consultation to check progress and offer additional advice if required will be available - at no additional cost.
